DIF Sidetree Protocol
Specification Status: DIF Ratified Specification Latest published version: identity.foundation/sidetree/spec Sidetree REST API specification: identity.foundation/sidetree/api Sidetree is a protocol for creating scalable Decentralized Identifier networks that can run atop any existing decentralized anchoring system (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum, distributed ledgers, witness-based approaches) and be as open, public, and permissionless as the underlying anchoring systems they utilize.

Verifiable Credentials : DID Credential Flows Technical Overview
Microsoft has launched ION hosting (beta) on Bitcoin mainnet, and new verifiable credentials service (private preview) on Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). In this post, I will summarize what is verifiable credentials and how it works. This style of identity and credentials are very much like our physical world.

ION - Booting up the network
Hi everyone - I am really excited to have Daniel Buchner, one of my team members and one of the brains behind the development of the Sidetree protocol at DIF here to talk about a huge step for us at Microsoft in the decentralized identity space.

Walkthrough of Decentralized Identity (DID) Network
In my previous post, we saw how a blockchain technology keeps consistency and immutability to be reliably used in the decentralized manner. Not only for cryptocurrency, but, the decentralized technologies, in which there's no centralized providers or servers, can be applied to many other business applications. One of such examples is identity technology.

DIF Wallet Rendering
Specification Status: Strawman Latest Draft: identity.foundation/wallet-rendering Styling the visual presentation of various entities types and data (e.g. credentials) is a common need that runs across many different use cases.
Run ION (Sidetree), Decentralized Identifier (DID) Network
ION is built on the top of Sidetree for decentralized identifier (DID) network. Sidetree is a blockchain-agnostic protocol and has multiple reference implementations for a variety of blockchains, such as, Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. ION is one of such implementations, which runs on Bitcoin blockchain.
